Tech demo was done in Unity 3D, this is now 3 years old demo. A mix of 2D and 3D platformer game, we decided to abandon after all. Most of it is 3D kitbash rendered in Cinema 4D only with AO and colored in Photoshop. This allowed me to prototype scenes and environments very fast. Back then there was no 2D lighting system, so I used my own shaders with pretty easy setup to mimic all lights and shadows. Even with a lot of lights and particle FX the scenes was fast to load and not a problem for medium hardware.
